Our Equestrian team was excited to head back to the North West Equestrian Expo in Coonabarabran on Thursday 2 June – Tuesday 7 June.
Eighteen Ascham Team members took part in different events and disciplines including: Freestyle Dressage, One Day Eventing, Combined Training, Polocrosse, Working Horse challenge, Team Six- bar, Show jumping, Sporting, Warrumbungle’s Way, Dressage, Ring Events, Team Penning, Pentathlon, Team Barrel Race and Active Riding.
Across the course of the competition, our competitors gained a series of positive results, including winning the prestigious 6 Bar Event! Congratulations to Scarlett Banks, Lucy McLaughlin, Charlie Smith and Harriet Stratton on this win.
Big thank you to all the parents of our Equestrian team members for your terrific support in the lead-up and over the weekend. In particular, Mrs Stratton and Mrs Couchman, parents of Captains Sophie Stratton and Mia Couchman, for fostering a fantastic community spirit and connectedness around camp, ensuring all families felt welcomed and proud to be part of the Ascham Equestrian team.
