Late last term, the Ascham community came together to celebrate the incredible achievements of our Year 12 Visual Arts students at the official opening of the 2025 HSC Art Show. Showcasing the work of 33 talented artists, this exhibition was a powerful reflection of their creativity, determination and growth.
Each body of work in the exhibition represents months of exploration, refinement and perseverance, supported every step of the way by their dedicated teachers in our Visual Arts and Design Technology Department. The combined expertise, creativity and unwavering commitment of the teachers has enabled each student to strive for their personal best, resulting in a truly diverse and accomplished exhibition.
Congratulations to student Zoe (pictured above, centre) the recipient of the prestigious Ascham Foundation Art Award for her outstanding body of work, Sunnyside. Zoe’s work will now take its place in Ascham’s permanent art collection, where it will continue to inspire for years to come.
To all our Ascham Year 12 students: as you sit your written HSC examinations, know that we are proud of all you have accomplished and wish you every success in the future.
BREAKING NEWS UPDATE! The works of five Ascham students have been selected for ARTEXPRESS, being exhibited in a range of galleries across NSW from February 2026. Ten additional students were nominated. This total of 15 students nominated is a record for Ascham and represents an incredible 45% of our HSC Art cohort. Congratulations to these students and their dedicated teachers.
