2024 HSC Art Show Opens

On 27 August, the Ascham community gathered to celebrate the opening of the 2024 HSC Art Show. This year’s exhibition features the exceptional work of 30 of our talented Visual Arts students, each piece a testament to the profound collaboration between the students and their dedicated teachers. These remarkable creations are the culmination of many terms of experimentation, refinement and relentless hard work.

We extend our deepest gratitude to artist Nicola Michael (Ascham Old Girl 2009) for her inspiring opening address. She shared warm recollections of her time at Ascham, her passion for visual arts, and her incredible journey—from working in fashion in New York City to her return to Sydney.

Congratulations to Year 12 student Sabine who has been awarded the prestigious Ascham Foundation Art Award for her body of work, It’s Dark Inside. This outstanding work will join our permanent collection and will be displayed throughout the School.

The Art staff’s expertise, experience and unwavering commitment to helping each student achieve their very best have resulted in a collection of polished and diverse artworks.

We are incredibly proud of each of our Year 12 Visual Arts students, and we wish them success in the upcoming HSC and in all their future endeavours.
