Stephanie Shines at Ascham

Since May last year, we have been fortunate to have Ms Stephanie Janis on staff at Ascham for four days per week, working as a General Hand in the Facilities Department. Stephanie has joined us via a partnership with Jobsupport, and late last year she wrote this article for their magazine, JobNews, about her role here at Ascham.

‘Hi, my name is Stephanie and I started my job as a general hand at the Ascham School in May this year. I really love my job and the people I work with because of the environment.

It is a really nice place to work. You can see in the photo that the school buildings and grounds are beautiful. People are really warm, kind and friendly to me.

My jobs are collecting the lunch bags for the school kids, recycling, mail sorting, packing hot lunches for the school kids, tidying up the staff rooms and delivering hot lunches. I really enjoy doing all my jobs each and every day.

I will be receiving my first award for the fast and efficient work I did. I am very excited about it and very honoured to receive it, especially when I’ve been working at Ascham for such a short time.

I am looking forward to my first-year anniversary at the Ascham School.’

Thank you, Stephanie. We love having you as part of the Ascham community!
