Welcome to the Ascham 2023 HSC Bodies of Work catalogue. We are very proud to display the work of our 32 talented Visual Arts students across the media areas of drawing, painting, printmaking, photomedia, and a collection of works. Showcased here are three artworks from each student’s larger Body of Work. The work produced demonstrates a close working relationship between each student and their teacher and is the product of many months of experimentation, determination, and sheer hard work.
I would like to sincerely thank the members of the Visual Arts department, who alongside me, have taught Year 12 – Vanessa Chalmers, Bronwyn Jones, Maree Mann, and Jasmine Peters for their tireless work in leading the girls through this process. Thanks also to Bronwyn Jones for taking the photographs for this online catalogue and to Andrew Mallon for his exceptional work in bringing it all together.
Finally, I wish our students every success in the coming months. We will eagerly await confirmation from NESA in early December to see if we secure any places in ARTEXPRESS 2024.
