We were delighted to receive the news last week that four of our HSC bodies of work have been selected for exhibition in next year’s ARTEXPRESS.

Congratulations to Year 12 students Alexandra Cooke, Natalie Leroy, Phoebe Silverton and Phoebe Turner.

Alexandra’s work O.M.G. (Organisms Modified Genetically) will be displayed at Cowra Regional Art Gallery and Natalie’s work Mind of My Own / Journey will be exhibited at the New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM) and Margaret Whitlam Galleries. Phoebe Turner’s work States of Flux will go a show at the Art Gallery of NSW and the Margaret Whitlam Galleries, while Phoebe Silverton’s paintings called Home will be included in a Virtual Exhibition VX and at The Armory, Sydney Olympic Park.

From 8,616 students who submitted bodies of work for the 2020 HSC Visual Arts Examination, 575 students were nominated for ARTEXPRESS. So to have four selected for final selection is a wonderful achievement for these girls and their Ascham Visual Arts teachers.

Congratulations to these four girls, and also to Pippa Bell and Sarah Woods who also made the shortlist.
