Competing on the slopes in the holidays

What a fantastic week we had at the Sydney Regional Snowsports Championships, with some outstanding results.

Ascham had a large contingent of girls from Kindergarten to Year 12 competing at Perisher in the Sydney Regional Snowsports Championships over the winter holiday break. It was a fantastic week of racing with great team spirit and support amongst the team.

Many girls have competed before, however, we also had a large group of girls racing for the first time. It was lovely to see the smiles on their faces as they made it to the bottom of the course, and supporting their friends as they raced as well.

Ascham achieved outstanding results with the Secondary team winning the Champion Alpine Secondary Girls School and placing second overall in the combined point score. The Primary team placed second in the Alpine point score and third in the combined point score.

All teams that placed in the top five will compete at the State Interschool Championships.

Individually we had some amazing results, with student Charlotte Halley winning the Division 2 Skier X and Alpine events, and Aliyah Vueti placing third in the Division 6 Skier X event.
