Ascham girls shine at Sydney Eisteddfod

Ascham Speech and Drama students gave stellar performances and brought home excellent results at the Sydney Eisteddfod on 13 August. Our girls competed in four events, performing with poise, confidence and commendable on-stage professionalism.

Ruby Alexander won First Place in the Actor’s Championship (12–14 years), competing against over 20 other performers.

Anna Coles and Zara Lowe were awarded First Place in the Duologue or Trio (18 and under) section, competing against over 10 other performances.

Laetitia Opie and Lucia Carlton were awarded Third Place in the Duologue or Trio (14 and under) section.

Anna Coles was awarded Third Place in The Actor’s Championship (15–18 years) section. In this section, Poppy Thomson, Nastassia Nickolas and Ashley Kind were all awarded Highly Commended awards.

We congratulate all the other Ascham students who competed so beautifully as well. As always, the students demonstrated a sense of camaraderie and support for each other in each of their competitive sections, and we are proud of them all.
