Ascham girls take out honours in Youth Photographic Award

Out of hundreds of entries, five Ascham girls recently achieved great success in the Woollahra Council Youth Photographic Award and Short Film Prize. Year 11 students Skye White and Juliet Leicester and Year 9 student Isabella Pongrass all received prizes for their photographic work. Special mentions by the judges were also made of the excellent photographic work by Year 11 student Sarah Purdie and Year 9 student Clara Freeman.

Celebrity judges for the competition included award-winning film producer and screenwriter Lulu Pinkus and celebrated photographer Rex Dupain. The Awards were a creative and diverse display of imagery and film from a variety of schools in the eastern suburbs.

We warmly congratulate all the entrants, especially the many Ascham girls who submitted works, and our five girls who did so well!
