Amy Huang wins music scholarship

It is with great pride that we celebrate Year 12 2016 student Amy Huang, who has been granted one of four Music Awards under the BBM Scheme (Big Brother Movement) in Australia. The award grants Amy $8,000 to assist her to travel to the UK to further develop her music knowledge and make contacts there. Usually the recipients are post-graduate students, however, what a wonderful achievement for Amy to have won this as a high school student.

Amy Huang is a multi award-winning musician, who garnered awards every year of her secondary schooling at Ascham. She has been active in choirs, orchestras and string quartets at school. Amy works very hard to perform at an exceptional standard, and all her hours of practice and hard work are being well and truly rewarded.
Congratulations Amy! A magnificent achievement.
