For four-year-olds, Ascham has a Prep class, in its own building next door to the infants’ school, Hillingdon.  The five-day a week program provides a nurturing and stimulating environment to establish a secure educational foundation and love of learning. Mrs Judith Butcher is the head of both the Prep and Hillingdon.

The curriculum for Prep girls includes pre-reading and numeracy activities, science, creative arts, music and the development of gross-motor and fine-motor skills. Prep girls have access to the school’s facilities including the gym, Packer Theatre and Hillingdon library. Girls can participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including violin, cello, gymnastics and swimming.

Supervised care is available from 8.15am and a full after-school care service is available until 6pm, where girls are given afternoon tea and have free play in the familiar school surroundings.
