The Ascham infants’ school is called Hillingdon, the name of the building in which it is located. Hillingdon includes Kindergarten (for five-year-olds) and Years 1 and 2. Hillingdon has approximately 180 girls and 24 staff. Each year has three classes with no more than 20 girls in each.
Hillingdon has its own head, Mrs Judith Butcher, who is also in charge of the school’s adjoining Prep class. Hillingdon provides a happy and nurturing environment where girls can participate in a broad and exciting range of activities, to stimulate their love of learning and interests beyond the classroom and to care for each other and for their communities.
State-of-the-art teaching aids such as interactive whiteboards, an extensive computer network, modern renovated classrooms and the Hillingdon library enhance a well-established tradition of providing a secure and comprehensive educational foundation. |
