Ascham School Limited
Ascham is owned by a company, Ascham School Limited. This was established by the school’s longest serving headmistress, Miss Margaret Bailey, in 1937. Miss Bailey had owned Ascham privately but established the company and transferred ownership in order to secure the school’s perpetual succession.
Ascham School Limited is a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee. All funds must be used for the benefit of the school. The company comprises people with a demonstrated, longstanding commitment to the school and includes parents, former parents and past students.
Council of Governors
The company elects a council of governors, responsible for running the school. This is a voluntary office and governors have no financial interest in the school. Current governors are:
