It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the Ascham school website. Ascham has been a leading school in girls’ education for over 120 years. From Prep to Year 12, Ascham offers an academically focused curriculum, which is balanced by rich opportunities in sport, cultural activities and performance.  Opportunities abound, from overseas exchanges and tours, to Outward Bound, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and social justice initiatives.

Ascham has an outstanding record in public examinations. Most girls go on to tertiary studies, and have a reputation for energy and focus both there and in their subsequent careers. We believe this is in no small part due to our curriculum delivery through the Dalton Plan, which encourages initiative, personal responsibility and self discipline.

Situated on the crest of a hill in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, minutes away from the CBD, the city beaches, marinas and within sight of the Opera House, the school offers a quintessentially Sydney experience to our students. This is particularly the case for our boarders, who are able to take full advantage of the school’s proximity to the cultural and social life of the city.
